Apple launches recall for third generation iPad Air with white screen problem

Very late on Friday night (6/3), Apple announced a new worldwide “Service Program” recall for Third generation Air iPads.

The problem, this time, affects certain units of this iPad that may have a White screen permanent – usually preceded by flashes or unexpected flashes.

Air iPads affected by the defect were manufactured between March and October 2019, and will obviously be exchanged free of charge at Apple Stores or Apple Authorized Service Centers.

The replacement does not extend the original warranty period for the product and Apple says it will service units up to just two years from their original purchase date, so if you have an affected device it is good to not waste time.
