Apple launches new Time Capsules, AirPort Extreme and a new keyboard model for the iMac

Following the launch of new iMacs, Macs mini and Macs Pro, Apple updated the Time Capsule (partly right, hehe), the AirPort Extreme and silently played a different keyboard on the new iMac.

Both Apple Wi-Fi bases now feature network dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz simultaneously (before, it was one or the other), providing the maximum possible performance, in addition to a longer range and improved compatibility.

A new feature called Guest Network allows a secondary network to be set up for friends and visitors who only have access to the internet, eliminating the need for the person to have to disclose the Wi-Fi password.

Time Capsule combines an 802.11n router and a server-level hard drive for automatic wireless backups via Time Machine, remaining available in two models: one 500GB, for $ 300, and another 1TB, for $ 500. The new AirPort Extreme Base Station is also available immediately, for a suggested price of $ 180.

New Apple Keyboard

The new Apple Keyboard, only available at the Apple Store Online, follows the pattern of the previous ones, but it brings a compact design a little different without a numeric keyboard, just like the Apple Wireless Keyboard I would say is a mix of the two from before.

Like the others, it offers two USB 2.0 ports on the sides, complementing the four available on the new iMac. Its suggested price of $ 50.
