Apple launches new official support app starting in the Netherlands [atualizado: também nos Estados Unidos]

Quietly, Apple has begun releasing a new iOS app today that has been speculated for a while for its customers around the world: Apple support It comes to provide, as its name implies, support for owners of Macs, iPhones, iPads, iPods, Apple TVs, Apple Watches, accessories and other Apple products as simply and practically as possible.

Much like Apple's own official support area itself, the app shows on the home screen a list of all Apple products belonging to the user, as well as an option to get help related to other unlisted devices.

You can check frequently asked questions, contact an expert via chat or email directly through the app, as well as schedule a call or repair at the nearest Apple Store / Authorized Service Center. The app also features a history of previous requests to speed up the resolution of possible future issues.

The app comes in a good time considering that recently the Apple Store app has lost its support and repair schedule or visits to the Genius Bar decision related to Apple's new store design, which is taking the focus off services and repairs. (and the Genius) to transform them into living spaces and cultural exhibits above all.

For now, Apple Support is only available on the Dutch App Store, possibly as part of a release strategy slowly, but soon it should also paint in American and Brazilian stores, for example. Let's wait.
