Apple launches new entry-level model iMac, more affordable [atualizado]

As we expected since last week, Apple really moved the line iMac however, it did not change the existing models, introducing only a new entry, more accessible.

iMacs

While here in Brazil the line started at R $ 6,799.00 (R $ 6,119.10 view), this new model arrives at R $ 5,799.00 (R $ 5,219.10 view). It has a 21.5 inch screen, Intel Core i5 processor dual-core 1.4 GHz (with Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz), 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and Intel HD Graphics 5000.

In the United States the change was the same, with this new model coming in at $ 1,099. Before, the cheapest was $ 1,299.

The new entry-level iMac can now be found at the Brazilian Apple Online Store, with a shipping deadline of 7-10 business days.

Although today's "novelty" was not significant, it is worth remembering that references to new iMacs with Retina display have already been found in OS X Yosemite. Maybe a bigger update of the line is still planned for this year
