Apple launches new edition of MacBook, with higher performance and battery life

Apple today made official the availability of a new edition of the MacBook, three days after the leak of its specifications on a Vietnamese website. The most affordable of its notebooks has been updated with the same internal changes that have been available since April on the 13-inch MacBook Pro, bringing greater performance and battery life.

Among the highlights of the update is the arrival of the NVIDIA GeForce 320M, capable of surpassing the graphics performance of the previous generation of the MacBook by up to 80% depending on the applications running. The new graphics hardware is also accompanied by a small improvement in the Core 2 Duo processor, now running at 2.4GHz.

In addition, Apple added a new, longer-lasting battery to the MacBook. Built with a process similar to that used in current MacBooks Pro, it offers up to ten hours of use per cycle, and can be recharged up to 1,000 times.

In its standard configuration, the MacBook also offers 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB HDD, features that can be expanded to 4GB and 500GB, respectively. The new machine can be ordered now at the Apple Online Store Brasil for R $ 3,200, with a shipping deadline of up to three weeks.
