The research and development centers (R&D or, in English, R&D of research and development) from Apple are being spread around the world and major investments do not stop. Now, it seems to be the turn of the Vietn to receive another R&D center from Ma, as reported by the Vietnamese vehicle BizLIVE.
Da Nang, VietnThe novelty appeared during a meeting of the local government which dealt with foreign direct investment (foreign direct investment, or FDI) on August 4th. The expected value of $ 1 billion and the center would be located in the central province of Da Nang, one of the five largest cities in southeastern Vietnam.
The place chosen was not by chance; rumors already speculated that the company would have a center there aiming “to increase its competitiveness on the main global electronics manufacturers present in the country”. In October last year, Ma established a subsidiary of Apple Vietnam LLC in Ho Chi Minh City, led by Gene Daniel Levoff.
This would be Apple's first major investment in Vietnam, although other giants like Microsoft, Intel and Samsung have had projects for some time. Further information is expected on the news at the end of August.
