Apple is granted patents on the design of current MacBooks

Registered in the United States between 2008 and 2009, three Apple patents covering the design of its current notebooks were approved yesterday, giving the company ownership over the manufacturing process that was first used on the MacBook Air, launched more than two years ago. The inventions describe the steps used to produce a lightweight notebook structure from an aluminum block, two of which refer to Ma's ultra-light and one to the MacBook Pro.

Apparently, the latter also applies in some aspects to the MacBook, which is produced in a style similar to that of the MacBook Pro, but based on polycarbonate. In general, however, the three notebook models produced by Apple are aesthetically very similar in almost all aspects, varying only in the dimensions, internal resources and materials used.

In the three patents, the presence of the multi-touch glass trackpad is also mentioned, although it is not clear whether its model of construction and design is part of the inventions or not.
