Apple is extending service to iPhones with bulky batteries [atualizado 2x]

Some of you must have had this boring experience or at least know someone who did. Batteries swell / swell It is not necessarily going to happen, but it is intrinsic to current battery technology made of lithium ons. It can occur with basically any smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Although Apple offers a standard one-year warranty on iPhones, it has long covered battery cases that are up to two years after the original purchase date. Because the obtained information that this deadline is now being extended to five years!

When this problem happens due to technical failure of the device itself (and after the device takes a dip in the pool, for example), the customer does not only have to pay for the service as he most likely receives a brand new iPhone in return after all, when greenhouse battery it usually “presses” other components, and can even crack the screen glass.

Everything indicates that whoever calls Apple Brazil technical support (0800-761-0880) will already be able to confirm the change in policy, and Apple Authorized Service Centers (Apple Authorized Service Providers, or AASPs) are also gradually being informed.

To summarize the story: if you have an iPhone with the original battery inflated / expanded, even after years of use, seek support from Apple. It is very likely that you will be served and not have to pay anything for it.
