Apple invites press for WWDC 2016 keynote; opening will be 6/13 at 2 pm (Brasília time)

THE WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) 2016 was confirmed by Apple some time ago, but today the company sent the opening keynote invitations to the press, as reported by Tech Insider

As we already know, the presentation will take place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (same location as the launch of the iPhone 6s and iPad Pro). Now, however, we know the schedule: from 2 pm onwards to Braslia, on June 13 (Monday). The event itself after the keynote and until the 17th of June, Friday will take place at Moscone West.

The rumors so far for the event speak of a new redesign on Apple Music, interesting news related to Siri (including the launch of the assistant on Macs), the possibility of Apple Pay arriving on the Mac, in addition to, of course, the presentation of the new versions of the systems company's operating systems (iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS).

WWDC 2016

With four innovative operating systems and an intuitive programming language operating 1 billion devices worldwide, there has never been a more exciting time to bring our community of developers together, he said. WWDC 2016 will be a milestone for developers working with Swift code developing applications and products for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS. We look forward to seeing everyone gathered in San Francisco or through the live broadcast.

Philip Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Apple.

As always, the far complete coverage of the event, which includes: live-blogging (point-to-point, entirely in Portuguese), individual articles about the news that are presented, the highlights of Apple's presentation on our Twitter, among other things. Coverage will extend throughout the 6/13, as there is usually a lot of post-keynote happening (such as the release of beta versions of operating systems, app updates, etc.).

During the week of the event we will also record the On Air (our weekly podcast), so you can know what's new and find out our opinions on everything that Apple has presented. That is, if you want to stay on top of everything that happens in the world of Ma, stay with us! 😉
