Apple In-Ear Headphones are compatible with the iPhone 3G S

Apple In-Ear Headphones

When Apple launched new headphone options during the event Let’s Rock, which took place in September last year, a model was presented in-ear (in-ear) with built-in remote and microphone.

However, details in particular, the novelty left iPhone owners a little upset at the time: the new headphone was only compatible with the new iPods that were being released at the same time (iPod nano 4G, iPod classic 120GB and iPod touch 2G).

Apparently, the problem of incompatibility with the first and second generation iPhones was caused by hardware. However, today, according to the In-Ear Headphones page on the Apple Store Online, the product will be fully compatible with the new iPhone 3G S including the remote control and the microphone.

The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (120GB), iPod touch (2nd generation), and iPhone 3G S. The remote is supported by iPod shuffle (3rd generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models. Requires software version 1.0.3 for iPod nano (4th generation), 2.0.1 for iPod classic (120GB), and 2.2 or later for iPod touch (2nd generation).
