Apple I is auctioned for R $ 366 thousand at Christie’s

As predicted, the auction of one of the first computers manufactured by Ma, the Apple I, took place today in London. The closing price was within Christie's estimate: 113,250 pounds sterling, equivalent to about R $ 366 thousand.

From 1976 to 1977, Apple produced only 200 units of the computer. Many of them do not even exist anymore, today it is estimated that a quarter of the total.

After the auction ended, Steve “Woz” Wozniak, the main responsible for the construction of the Apple I, declared that the machine was “an important step” in the development of the company.
