Apple hires two more: specialist in automotive navigation software and leading promoter of HealthKit

Another day, more news of new hires within Apple, and more certainty that the real estate agents in Cupertino must be earning more than Tim Cook. Today there are reports of two talents who recently moved to 1 Infinite Loop in order to expand the (already admittedly phenomenal) expertise da Ma in the most different areas.

Apple CarPlay - iOS 9Point-to-point navigation (reporting traffic)

The first one, as informed by Bloomberg, answers for Sinisa Durekovic, outstanding software engineer specialized in the area of automotive navigation programs. Durekovic was one of the leading architects and, later, chief navigation engineer at Harman International Industries, a company responsible for the navigation systems of several of the world's leading automakers such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

Following the hiring of Tesla's vice president of vehicle engineering, just over a month ago, Apple's newfound fondness for the automobile world is more than clear. It was unclear what Durekovic's role would be within Ma, but presumably he would be overseeing the work of the criticized Apple Maps, CarPlay and, of course, that top-secret project that nobody knows anything about and never heard about.

cone - HealthKit

The other newcomer to Cupertino Dr. Rajiv Kumar, famous Californian pediatrician and specialized in the field of Type 1 Diabetes. Who confirmed the hiring Fast Company it was Christopher Dawes, CEO of Kumar's previous employer, Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, at Stanford University Dawes claims, moreover, that Kumar will continue with a part-time job at the hospital.

Kumar has been an Apple partner for some time, since becoming one of the first doctors in the United States to embrace the HealthKit platform in 2015, his system for monitoring young patients affected by Type 1 Diabetes has been celebrated by the medical community worldwide (and by Apple, obviously).

As in the case of Durekovic, we do not know what role Kumar will play specifically within Apple, Ma refused to comment on both contracts, although her talented mind should be put to good use in overcoming new barriers so that the HealthKit becomes more and more advanced. The world thanks you.
