Apple finally kills the first generation iPad mini

Almost three years after its original release, Apple silently withdrew from yesterday to today First generation iPad mini of all its Online Stores.

The first 7.9-inch iPad was still sold with only 16GB of capacity, for R $ 1,699 (Wi-Fi) or R $ 2,199 (Wi-Fi + Cellular) in Brazil. It did not have a Retina display, it still used an A5 chip (32-bit) and evidently did not have other recent news, such as Touch ID.

The iPad line now starts in the mini 2, which costs from R $ 1,849 in our country.

Most likely it will still be possible to find the first generation iPad mini in some retail chains for some time, while stocks last. With the official discontinuation of the product, their prices tend to fall further.
