This week, we talked about a new bug discovered on iOS that causes the system to crash when receiving a certain string Unicode. Apple has already commented on the case and promised a software update soon.
But while it doesn't arrive, Apple itself posted a mini support article on its website explaining how to fix (temporarily, of course) the bug for those who went trolled.
Here are the steps:
- Ask Siri to “read your unread messages”.
- Use Siri to respond to the malicious message. After you reply, you can open Messaging again.
- In Messaging, swipe from left to right to delete the topic. Or tap and hold the malicious message, tap More, and delete the topic message.
According to Guardian, the bug also affects apps like Twitter and Snapchat, that is, the fans are waiting for the definitive fix to come out soon.
