Apple discontinues white iMac once and for all, but offers aluminum model for schools

I doubt this is a coincidence: just weeks after the discussion about a white (plastic) iMac that Apple still sold to educational institutions for $ 900, it seems that the company decided to discontinue it once and for all. In its place comes an aluminum model, not only with updated components, but also with a 20-inch screen (instead of 17), and still maintaining the same reduced price.

The new machines, which will be available within a month, come with a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, SuperDrive double-layer 8x and an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card.

The above line can only be seen by those who have access to the Apple Store for Education.
