Apple designer duo appears in Adweek ranking with the 100 most creative

Less than a month after being made official as vice president of user interfaces and vice president of industrial design, the duo Alan Dye and Richard Howarth It is already gaining prominence in the media as the two new major designers responsible for Apple.

This time, it was not Jony Ive who appeared among the 100 most creative Adweek but Dye and Howarth.

While Tim Cook and Jony Ive may be household names for most Apple aficionados, the real duo behind the brand's product portfolio today is Dye and Howarth. Recently promoted at the company, the two now report directly to CEO Cook and are tasked with creating the next generations of Apple devices. Howarth has been the chief designer of each generation of the iPhone and guided the creation of the Apple Watch, while Dye (who has a history as design director for Ogilvy and Kate Spade) has been central to the creation of operating systems like iOS 7, iOS 8 and watchOS.

Both were selected for the 10 Digital Innovators sub-list of the Adweek along with names like Cynthia Breazeal (founder and CEO of Jibo), Astro Teller (Google X), Amber Gadsby (director of digital marketing for Domino’s Pizza), John Carmack (chief technology officer of Oculus VR) and others.

Apple is certainly preparing a possible future success plan for Ive.
