Apple criticized for after-sales practices in China

China Flag on iPadChina is one of the markets where Apple has invested a lot recently, reaching the second place in the smartphone segment in the country. However, she has also been severely criticized for her after-sales practices.

Consumers are complaining about the warranty policies for appliance repairs. According to them, Apple uses used or reconditioned parts to repair defective devices, and that the replaced components are not returned to the consumer.

These practices are in line with China's national cell phone repair and return regulations, which state that companies must repair products with new parts, renewing the product warranty if it is within it. According to these regulations, the company must also replace the product or refund the consumer if it needs to be repaired a third time.

The situation has been dragging on since the end of June, and since Apple has agreed to change its guarantee policy in South Korea, the Chinese probably think they can achieve something similar. And, in fact, they deserve it.
