In a somewhat atypical attitude, Apple is directly contacting some recent buyers of Apple TVs offering a replacement unit due to an alleged defective part.
THE MacRumors stated that consumers are not necessarily already experiencing problems with the product, that is, it is a kind of “proactive recall” and in anticipation of any possible headache.
There is no public page on the Apple website about this recall, so anyone who is not contacted by Apple has nothing to worry about.
In a related note, in early June Apple announced a recall of the Beats Pill XL speakers.
