Apple commercial with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is among the top ten most viewed on YouTube in 2017

A few months ago, Apple launched a commercial very different from its usual advertising production. The film with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson brought a megaproduction, worthy of the greatest blockbusters of Hollywood, encapsulated in almost four minutes of duration (later edited and transformed into several films of 15 seconds) and co-starring Siri.

Some thought it was great and fun, others were indifferent and more others twisted their noses at the historic style and not at all consistent with Apple's advertisements. The fact that, for the joy of some and unhappiness of others, the commercial is a success.

THE Adweek today published a list of the most watched commercials of 2017 on YouTube, and “The Rock x Siri Dominate the Day” managed to stay in the Top 10 more precisely in eighth place, with 25.3 million views. Let's remember it:

Curious about who came first? Yes, it was our good old Samsung more precisely, its technical assistance service in India, with a commercial to tear tears from the coldest heart:

On a related note, YouTube has already released its traditional retrospective YouTube Rewind 2017, remembering the most watched videos of the year in a series of categories.

Unlike the Adweek, the video giant takes into account a number of aspects beyond the count of views when classifying the first on the list among them, the comments, likes and shares of the videos in question.

Among the video clips, as it should be, the phenomenon “Despacito” came in first place; In “ordinary” videos, the gold medal went to the Thai video of a talent show in which a man sings dressed as an oyster (and this is probably the strangest phrase I have ever uttered on this site). Really, we live in unique times.
