Apple circumvents rules and lets some employees take secret products home in quarantine

As the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) exceeds 160,000 in the United States, US technological giants are trying to find ways to continue preparing new products, ensuring the safety of employees. Apple is one of the companies that is adapting to the new reality of remote work and is allowing employees to test products in the early stages of development at home.

The apple company is known for maintaining strict security policies with regard to products that are still being developed, whether hardware or software. Bloomberg advances that there is an entire control process to ensure that there are no leaks. In order to be able to test a piece of equipment or a program, an employee must request a special license from a superior. If the application is approved, become part of a shortlist of employees, which is regularly reviewed.

Apparently Apple is currently developing new versions of various devices, including the Smart HomePod speakers, a MacBook Pro, an Apple Watch, an iMac, as well as iPads with more affordable prices. The Cupertino giant is also preparing to launch the next iPhones in the fall of this year, although some analysts predict that COVID-19 could delay the company's technological calendar.

Although Apple strongly invests in the security of future projects, sometimes plans do not go as planned. Recently, there was an information leak from the iOS 14 code, which revealed details about a possible launch of two more economical smartphones, as well as changes in the features of the Apple Watch.

Apple has been suffering the impact of the pandemic, reflecting on the company's performance on the stock exchange, but managed to announce the arrival of an update to the MacBook Air and the new iPadPro, which was rumored to suffer delays due to the closing of factories in China.
