Apple Card Begins Distribution to Beta Program Employees

After the announcement of Apple cardApple's credit card in partnership with Goldman Sachs Bank, we learned that the first to try the service would be Apple's own employees through a unique testing program. Apparently, the first cards began to be distributed throughout the weekend, as Ben Geskin discovered.

The designer who has a positive Apple spill history published last Saturday that a slew of Apple employees would be receiving their cards as part of a semi-private program. Geskin also posted images of the supposed initial version of the card, modifying it with its name for obvious privacy purposes.

Apple Card delivered in a box slim with vibrant colors that includes a hidden NFC tag to quickly activate it from the iPhone (note, however, that the card itself doesn't have the same chip ie it doesn't have the payment technology contactless; this with the iPhone).

In this sense, the user just has to open the Wallet app on the iPhone and bring it closer to the card (like AirPods and Apple Watch) for the data to be synchronized; This is to associate the already configured digital credit card with the physical card.

As we reported, the physical card made of titanium and Apple only embosses its logo and the customer's name on the metal; that is, the card has no other printed identification features such as expiration date and CVV code all of this information is in the Wallet app. On the back are the logos of Mastercard (official Apple Card flag) and Goldman Sachs.

The Apple Card is due to be officially released to US consumers in late June, initially. There is still no forecast for the expansion of the novelty, but according to Goldman Sachs International chief Richard Gnodde, Europe will be the service's next target.
