Do you want any more proof that Apple is going into everything not only in the series, but also in the movies? Well here it is.
As informed by deadline, Ma recently acquired rights to the drama “The Banker”starring Samuel L. Jackson ("Pulp Fiction"), Anthony Mackie (the Falco of the Avengers franchise) and Nicholas Hoult (“Mad Max: Cold Road”). The film, written and co-scripted by George nolfiIt will be based on the real story of two black entrepreneurs who in Texas in the 1950s tried to persevere with a loan deal for victims of racial segregation.
If the description and cast above sound like a recipe for awards, because it really is: according to sources, the acquisition is one of Apple's first practical attempts to infiltrate next season's awards. As the movie is already in production and should be released by the end of the year, nothing prevents it if it is a success, of course we see Apple marking presence already next Oscars, for example.
