A year and a half ago, in October 2014, the Apple Brazil started offering customers the option of parceling out purchases at 24 times "with interest". The quotes are not for nothing: even in the traditional option of 12x there is built-in interest, considering that it gives 10% discount.
For whatever reason (perhaps few consumers opting for this option, high interest rates?), The 18-24x installments disappeared from the Apple Brazil website. Now, customers can choose to pay by sight “saving” 10% (in bank slip or credit card) or in installments up to 12x paying with American Express, Visa or MasterCard (including dividing into two different cards).
But the question: will anyone miss it? 😉
