After briefly returning to being the most valuable company in the world, on February 13 Apple dropped to third position, overtaken by Amazon. A day later, however, she re-occupied the vice-leader of this ranking, which matters little but is nevertheless an interesting thermometer of what the financial market believes companies still have to offer.
With NASDAQ closing today (Tuesday, 5/3), however, Ma dropped back to third position, once again being overtaken by Jeff Bezos's company. While $ AAPL closed the day at $ 175.85 (up 0.50%) and totaling $ 829.2 billion in market value, $ AMZN was up 1.46% to $ 1,696.17 and at market cap of $ 833.2 billion.
Microsoft remains in the lead, as we can see in the ranking below:
1 | Microsoft | $ 111.70 | -0.5% | $ 854 billion |
2 | Amazon | $ 1,696.17 | + 1.46% | $ 833.2 billion |
3 | Apple | $ 175.85 | + 0.50% | $ 829.2 billion |
4 | Alphabet | $ 1,162.03 | -1.2% | $ 810 billion |
The numbers of the four companies, as we can see, are very close, and this fight for the most valuable company in the world promises.
