Apple Appoints 5 New Vice Presidents; former marketing executive is back

Over the past few weeks, Apple has promoted several of its directors to the position of vice presidentsshaking Cupertino's high range, as reported by Bloomberg.

Among the most recent changes, Paul Meade rose to the post of vice president of hardware engineering, While Jon Andrews the new Apple Software Engineering VP. With that, Meade now leads the development of speculated headset augmented reality management while Andrews oversees the architecture of the company's operating systems, led by Craig Federighi, chefo of company software.

Also, Gary Geaves was promoted to VP of Audio Engineering and Design, whereas Kaiann Drance now VP of Marketing. Geaves has worked on HomePod and AirPods audio technology in recent years, while Drance has taken on a growing role in iPhone marketing and has even been cast for the special new model showcase event last September.

In addition to Drance, a former Ma executive returned to assume the chair of VP of Marketing: Bob borchers. He served as senior marketing director of the iPhone from 2005 to 2009 and played an important role in the early years of promoting Apple's smartphone. After leaving Ma, he moved on to new ventures at Dolby and Google.

More precisely, Borchers take care of issues related to iOS, iCloud and privacy. Both he and Drance must answer to Greg Joswiak which in turn responds to Phil Schiller, Apple's global marketing chief.

Recent nominations come after several key executive matches, including the design director Jony ive, the head of retail Angela Ahrendts is responsible for communication at Apple, Steve Dowling. The company has about 100 VPs, who are led by senior vice presidents, chief operating officer Jeff Williams and of course the CEO Tim cook.
