As planned, Apple has just announced the new line of MacBooks Pro now with high-speed “Thunderbolt” I / O (I / O in Portuguese input and output), FaceTime HD cameras and new Intel processors dual and quad-core (two and four cores), based on the Sandy Bridge architecture.
According to the company, the line “even twice as fast as its predecessor”.
The new machines no longer use graphics chipsets from NVIDIA: the 13-inch model is equipped with an integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics card, only with 384MB of shared video memory (before, it was 256MB).
J 15 and 17 inch models use AMD Radeon chipsets.
The Thunderbolt port (aka Light Peak, from Intel but developed in partnership with Apple) even uses the Mini DisplayPort interface.
It serves both for connecting external monitors and for transferring data at high speed, reaching 10Gbps.
In the future, the technology may reach up to 100Gbps.
The new MBPs also come with built-in FaceTime HD cameras, tripling the resolution of the old iSight (now in 720p).
They're great for high definition widescreen video calls, especially with the newly released FaceTime 1.0 for Mac.
The software costs $ 1 for mere mortals, but buyers of the new laptops don't have to worry about that.

It was not yet this time that Apple changed the external look of MBPs, even though they remain beautiful with their housings unibody aluminum, glass Multi-Touch trackpad, widescreen LED display and black backlit keyboard.
“The new MacBook Pro features processors dual and quad-core new generation, high performance graphics, Thunderbolt technology and FaceTime HD for the great design loved by our professional consumers, ”said Philip Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide product marketing at Apple. "Thunderbolt is a revolutionary new I / O technology that delivers an impressive 10 gigabits per second and can support any important I / O standard, which is ideal for the new MacBook Pro."
Once again, Apple characterizes its new MBPs as the “greenest” notebook line ever made by it, earning the EPEAT Gold label and meeting Energy Star 5.0 requirements.
The 13 ″ MBP starts at $ 1,200 in the United States, bringing Intel Core i5 and i7 processors dual-core up to 2.7GHz and Intel HD Graphics 3000 card.
The most powerful, 15 ″ and 17 ″, bring Core i7 chips quad-core up to 2.3GHz and AMD Radeon HD graphics with up to 1GB of video memory for high performance gaming, professional video editing and graphics intensive applications.

In Brazil, they will cost from R $ 3,600 and up to R $ 9,200.
The new MacBooks Pro can now be found in the Brazilian Apple Online Store and should start shipping in 3-4 weeks.
