This year started ugly for Apple and Ericsson. The companies filed cross-lawsuits in mid-January, in late February Ericsson even tried to block sales of iPhones in the United States and in May the legal dispute between the two was brought to Europe.

Now, in a Christmas atmosphere, Apple and Ericsson have finally reached an agreement and ended all their legal disputes. Apparently, Ma passed on a small percentage of royalties from selling iPhones and iPads to a Swedish firm for seven years.

In addition to leaving this boring fight behind, the companies also signed a collaboration plan covering multiple areas including the development of mobile 5G technology and optimization of wireless networks.
