Apple acquires Canadian buddybuild, whose team will join the Xcode engineering group

And the first acquisition of Apple came out in 2018! The buddybuild, a Canadian company that promises to speed up the launch of apps with integrations, continuous delivery and a feedback platform for development teams.

The purchase was confirmed on buddybuild's own official blog, which announced that it is no longer receiving new customers and that the development in its plans Free Starter and Android to be discontinued on March 1 this year.

"We are happy to share that the buddybuild team has joined the Xcode engineering group at Apple to build incredible development tools for the entire iOS community," they declared, adding that they will continue to operate directly from Vancouver, Canada.

Obviously, the terms of the acquisition itself that reminded me a lot of that of TestFlight in 2014 were not disclosed.
