O TechCrunch today revealed that the flap "To explore" ("Explore") of the App Store on the iPhone uses technology acquired by Apple in 2013, with the purchase of the startup Ottocat.
In this tab, Apple today facilitates the discovery of apps used near your current location, as well as allowing users to browse categories. a different way of reaching interesting apps / games without necessarily doing a conventional keyword search.
Edwin Cooper, co-founder of Ottocat, already listed on a patent filing by Apple.
The “Explore” tab has been on the App Store since WWDC 2014.
