Spotify is offering three months of free subscription to new Premium plan users. The promotion was announced last Thursday (14) and can be purchased until June 30. In paid streaming plans, users have access to over 50 million songs and 1 million podcasts without showing ads between tracks, as well as features such as downloading to listen offline and exclusive playlists.

The subscription must be made through the Spotify website (www.spotify.com/br/premium/). People who have never had a Spotify Premium subscription or those who have already, but canceled the package until April 14 this year, can take advantage of the benefit. The promotion is available to users in Brazil and all countries where streaming operates, except Japan.

The offer applies to any Premium plan currently available in streaming:
- Individual, which costs R $ 16.90 per month and entitles you to a Premium account
- Duo, which costs R $ 21.90 per month and entitles you to two Premium accounts for couples
- Family, which costs R $ 26.90 per month and releases six Premium accounts for the family, including Spotify Kids
- University, which costs R $ 8.50 per month and releases a reduced price Premium account for students
After formalizing the subscription, users can enjoy Premium for three months without paying any monthly fee. At the end of the promotional period, the charge will be made automatically, according to the selected plan.
Users who had a Premium plan and canceled their subscription until April 14 this year can still guarantee a discount: the individual Premium plan can be released for three months for a single payment of R $ 16.90.
Spotify clarifies that new subscribers can cancel the promotional offer at any time during the tasting period, without paying fines. Even after the cancellation, users can continue to enjoy the benefits of the paid plan until the end of the promotional period.

Among other benefits of Spotify’s Premium plans is the ability to skip tracks as you wish and hide specific songs from playlists. Paid plans also allow you to use the «Group Session» function, in which several people can control a collaborative playlist, ideal for parties, for example.
In March, rival Deezer also offered three months of tasting to new subscribers to paid plans. The streaming offering aimed to help people cope with the coronavirus quarantine in a more lively way by listening to music. The promotion, however, ended on the last 30th.
