Apogee adapter connects consoles and Blu-ray drives to the 27-inch iMac

While Apple is not willing to produce video adapters compatible with the Target Display Mode of the 27-inch iMac, some companies have already started to take an interest in the possibility, thanks to the high quality of the monitor it has. One of them is Apogee, which wants to be successful connecting the desktop (and also an LED Cinema Display) to any device with HDMI output.

More precisely, it should win over users by offering a new video adapter to connect Apple's all-in-one desktops to the most popular ones players Blu-ray (and display a good movie in high definition) and consoles like the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 (for games). As you can see in the video above, all of these scenarios are supported, not to mention that it is possible to connect other desktop Macs, such as the Mac mini.

Apogee has not yet revealed the price of the new adapter, not even its availability forecast. However, given the results she has achieved with the product so far, this should not take long to happen.
