"Android is financially unsound" says Ballmer

For Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, the creation of a mobile operating system by Google stands out for being “financially weak” and outdated when compared to the competition.

«They can hire smart people, hire a lot of people, blah dee and blah blah, but you know when they’re behind, in a way,» said Ballmer.

The executive also took the opportunity to question the financial strategy by claiming that Android has no revenue model and that operators will charge Google for huge profits by transporting their search box on the standard Android interface.

“Google is not exactly the bubble that is at the top of the list of competitors that we have in the mobile segment. They may be someday. But now… ”he added.
