Android for Beginners: How to Take a Screenshot

If you want to save an image of your smartphone screen, you have a range of options. Root Your Android and install an application print Screen, it works. But if you don't have Root done on your phone, there are still several options.

It may be that the screen capture option is already integrated in your phone. On most Android FroYo devices, you can take a screenshot by pressing the back button and at the same time the power button or the "Home" button. On GingerBread devices, you can take a screenshot by pressing the power button and quickly clicking the "Home" or back button. HoneyComb provides no built-in screenshot, and you have to root your device in order to get a screenshot unless you run Sense 3.0, in which case all you have to do is press the "Home" and off / on buttons at the same time. In Ice Cream Sandwich, all you have to do is press the off / on buttons and turn the volume up at the same time.

If for some reason you are unable to take a screenshot using these methods, you can download the No Root Screenshot It app. The app costs $ 5, but is supposed to work on all smartphones. and allows you to crop the image or write to it.
