Android apps can now react with the environment

Google announced during the conference for developers of Google I / O the introduction of new tools for developers that allows the creation of applications that are customized with the user’s environment.

According to the company, a music streaming app could, for example, display a more animated playlist when the user plugs in the headphones and starts running.

The apps could also launch an alert if there is a pharmacy nearby to buy drugs – but it would only do so if the user is driving close to the store and within office hours.

It would also be possible to create a smart alarm clock that could decide the waking time based on the analysis of the time the user went to bed and his first meeting of the day.

To give this functionality more intelligent, Google will introduce a new API «Awareness», which will be available after the event closes.
