Android 4.1 Jelly Bean does not support Flash

In a public statement released on Friday, Adobe warns that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will not receive a certification of compatibility with Flash Player technology.

The developer also took the opportunity to publicize its plans to reduce the presence of Flash on mobile devices by removing the possibility of installing on new devices.

“As of August 15, we will use Google Play's configuration settings to limit continued access to Flash Player. Updates will be kept only to devices that have the Flash Player installed ”, says the note.

In November 2011, Adobe had already announced that it would end its efforts to bring Flash to smartphones in an attempt to "support" the development of HTML5 as a new standard for the internet.
