ANATEL today launched an application for Android and iOS that allows users to check the quality of connections of Brazilian telephone operators. The app is ANATEL Mobile Service, and is now available for download from the Play Store.
In the application you can find the ranking of operators in your municipality, with indicators of access and fall. It is also possible to filter by carrier and / or technology (2G, 3G and 4G). In addition, the app also shows a map with the antennas of the carriers. Altogether only 3 rankings: Number of ERBs (sic), Voice Ranking and Data Ranking.
The application automatically selects your location, but you can choose any municipality in the country. The operation of the Mobile Service is simple and straightforward; It is 2.4MB in size and compatible with any Android 2.3.3 or higher and can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store. It was a little slow on my Moto E, but nothing to disturb the use.
The agency's adviser said the agency is planning another application in the future, which will allow users to inform the "shadow regions", that is, where there is no signal. The pair of applications work more as a tool when choosing the operator than a control mechanism by ANATEL.
Here in Porto Alegre, Claro was first in the ranking, and in your city?
