In the past few weeks, we've talked a few times (1, 2, 3) about a “new” version of Apple TV, launched silently by the Cupertino firm.
As Ma had already explained, the new model (A1469; the previous one was A1427) has some new components inside, but for the user itself the experience with the product is the same. Even so, it had to undergo a new regulatory approval in the United States and the same has just happened here.
The following certificate shows that the “new” Apple TV has just been approved by the National Telecommunications Agency:
Here is the regulatory compliance document:
Two photos of the unit sent to ANATEL for evaluation:
Even the manual in Portuguese is already in the Agency's system, with the same error as before (the correct one would be “watching AO / Apple TV”):
According to the , in the Brazilian Apple Online Store part number of the product currently the MD199BZ / A which corresponds with what appears in the American store, MD199LL / A. It is quite possible, therefore, that the units that are leaving here are already of the “new” model.
O set-top box from Apple costs R $ 399.00 in Brazil, payable in up to 12 installments without interest of R $ 33.25.
