Analyst claims Qualcomm to supply hardware for iPhone CDMA production

iPhone

In addition to raising the suspicion that the alleged tablet that Apple is developing is not based on an Intel processor, an analyst at Northeast Securities also revealed today that the company may have selected aQualcomm to supply the hardware that will be needed to produce an iPhone CDMA . The manufacturer of the device would have chosen a 3G EV-DO chip in order to make its future generation capable of operating on networks similar to those of the American operator Verizon Wireless.

The analyst also "confirmed" that Apple's exclusivity with AT&T will not be renewed in the United States, making the arrival of an iPhone compatible with other operators in the country even more evident. Thus, the device that we should see in 2010 will be really compatible with CDMA technology, but the analyst did not make it clear in his article how to make it compatible with GSM technology.

Until the iPhone 3GS, who provided the operator connectivity hardware to Apple was Infineon.
