Analyst believes that “AirPods” will aim at the top of the market, a level above Beats

There is much talk about such "AirPods" which will surely become Apple's newest audio weapon this coming age was devoid of analogue connectors. A guess from the usually accurate KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, however, will add a little more fuel to this fire until its likely announcement in less than 24 hours, it seems.

Kuo suggests that Apple position the "AirPods" a plateau above and not below, as has always been the case with the Beats line of headphones, targeting the most expensive and specialized range in the personal audio market and competing with sacred monsters from the area such as Shure, Grado and Klipsch.

It was not specified, however, if a movement like these would mean a drop in the prices of the Beats line or if the “AirPods” would come still more expensive than the (already overpriced by themselves) products of Dr. Dre and his gang to get an idea, the PowerBeats 2 Wireless currently costs a whopping US $ 200 in the US or doctors R $ 1,300 in Brazil.

In addition to the not-so-obvious guess about the segment in which Apple will position its new headsets, Kuo also assumes that Ma will equip the pets with a new type of wireless communication, similar to Bluetooth, but with more energy-saving features, an issue that is very important for coin-sized devices and better audio transmission quality for high sound fidelity.

Predictably, the analyst also believes that Apple will not include AirPods in the box for new iPhones instead, a new version of the old EarPods equipped with a Lightning connector will be delivered to customers. What Kuo didn’t specify if Ma presents her new wireless headphones soon tomorrow or at a future date, but that we will find out very soon.
