If you are not satisfied with what Apple says / promises about its products, external analyzes like that of DisplayMate which focuses exclusively on screens, obviously should do. And today Dr. Raymond M. Soneira published his opinion on the display of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
In summary, the screen of the iPad Pro 9.7 ″ for Soneira is a “big upgrade” over that of the iPad Air 2. Not only that, but he considered it the best ever placed on a tablet both in terms of brightness (20% more) as in reflex (only 1.7%), in fact the best LCD screen is evaluated by DisplayMate. The color accuracy of this iPad's screen is very close to perfect, covering not only the sRGB standard but also the DCI-P3 used by 4K TVs.
The president of DisplayMate also praised the technology True Tone of the 9.7 ″ iPad Pro screen and the Night Shift iOS 9.3, both created to provide users with greater comfort in the use of their devices. Soneira commented only that Apple should offer users the possibility to adjust the intensity of the True Tone, leaving more or less close to the light reflections on white paper.
Very cool, very cool. Now we want those same advances on the screens of other iPads, as well as those on iPhones and Macs. 😊
