Amnesty International uses technologies to raise support

Sapo opens laboratory at the University of Aveiro

Until next Thursday, Amnesty International Portugal joins the new technologies as support for the dissemination of the causes that it defends, presenting an interactive wall with the intention of attracting new members and supporters. The initiative comes under the Social Responsibility Week, promoted by the Portuguese Association of Business Ethics, and takes place at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon.

The interactive wall, whose measures are 2m x 2.2m, has a 42 inch video screen and another 36 inch interactive touch screen, where users can leave their marks in the form of appeals, petitions or by subscribing to newsletters.

Multiple technologies are integrated into this system, ranging from traditional SMS and CRM capabilities, including Tactile, Web and Entreprise Resource Planning technology. According to Amnesty International, when entering the mobile phone number in the subscription form, «the user will receive an SMS thanking him for his interest and inviting him to visit a website where he can see more data about the campaign in question, download screensavers and wallpapers, see your name on the digital wall and visit the AI website «.

To achieve this goal, the organization has the support of some services and tools provided by Primavera Software, Salesforce and Evernet.

As part of the same social initiative, AI will participate tomorrow in workshop «3rd Sector», with the ONGD Platform, Serralves Foundation, ELO Social, among others.
