In a press release, Apple said that, starting next Friday (February 1), Apple Music users will have access to the service catalog (i.e., more than 50 million songs, playlists and video clips) on any airline flight within the United States. Obviously, the aircraft needs to offer a Wi-Fi connection, but the good news is that you don't have to pay because access to free Apple Music is similar to what we see here in Brazil, with operators offering free access to services like WhatsApp, Instagram , Facebook, etc.
American Airlines, according to Apple, is the first commercial airline to provide exclusive access to Apple Music for free.
"For most travelers, having music to listen to on the plane is as important as anything they carry in their bags," said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music. “With the addition of Apple Music to American flights, we are excited that customers can now enjoy their music in more places. Subscribers can do the streaming of all their favorite songs and artists on the air and continue listening to their personal library offline, giving them everything they need to really sit back, relax and enjoy the flight. ”
Janelle Anderson, vice president of global marketing for American Airlines, also commented on the news:

That’s why we’re investing in faster Wi-Fi, a variety of entertainment options and why we’re so excited to introduce Apple Music to our customers. Offering customers more ways to stay connected throughout their flight is a way to show that we value their business and the time they spend with us.
