Amazon announced, last Tuesday (3), a new mode of freight that provides delivery within a few hours in the United States. The benefit is part of the Amazon Prime subscription package and covers a list of three million products in different categories. To take advantage, the customer must place an order by 5 pm with a value above US $ 35, approximately R $ 158 at the current quote.

The novelty accelerates the same day delivery that was already offered in the USA. Before, the user had until noon to place an order with delivery scheduled for 9pm. With the most agile mode, purchases made in the afternoon also arrive before the end of the day, possibly even before the previous time limit.

Orders for selected items placed until midnight are also given priority and are pre-delivered from 1 pm to 4:30 am and 8 am the next day. Products eligible for faster shipping receive a new “Today by” label (“Today until”) or “Overnight by 8 am” (“Overnight at 8 am”).
Prime subscribers do not pay anything beyond the conventional monthly fee to take advantage of the new freight, as long as the product purchased is compatible. Those who are not members of the service can obtain fast delivery by paying a fee of US $ 9.98 (about R $ 45) per item.

For now, the benefit is offered only in the North American cities of Philadelphia, Phoenix, Orlando and Dallas, where Amazon has built mini distribution centers to meet the demand for urgent orders.
The subscription service has been available in Brazil since September 2019 for R $ 9.90 per month, but the new freight is not yet expected to reach the country.
