Amazon Echo

Amazon presents good responses to HomePod and Apple TV 4K

THE Amazon presented today, at an event held in Seattle (United States), some new versions of products that we already know and also two totally new ones.

Contextualizing these releases with the Apple world, two of them serve as good answers to both HomePod and Apple TV 4K.

Echo and Echo Plus

Amazon Echo

The new version of Echo brings an updated compact design, new “immersive” sound and the second generation of technology far-field from Amazon, for better word processing and noise reduction. Its new price is $ 100, while the previous model was $ 180; Amazon will even sell a three-pack for $ 250.

There is also an entry in the line, the Echo Plus, with automatic detection and configuration of residential devices and an even more powerful 360º audio proposal with superior performance (including Dolby processing). This will cost $ 150 and include a Philips Hue lamp.

Both will be dispatched from next month and are equipped with the Alexa assistant, of course, which is gaining new features such as “Routines”, smart home groups, calls to anywhere, new gaming experience with Echo Buttons and more.

Echo Spot

Echo Spot

This nice “cut sphere” seems to be Amazon’s bet for a replacement of the bedside alarm clock with the built-in Alexa assistant and a small circular screen.

Echo Spot will only be available in December, in black and white, for $ 130.

Fire TV

Amazon Fire TV

The newest version of set-top box from Amazon, Fire TV, comes with 4K and HDR support (only HDR10, without Dolby Vision – but with Dolby Atmos audio support) for just $ 70 in the United States. It will start shipping in about a month.
