THE Amazon today announced the new Kindle Oasis, newest member of the company's e-reader family. The most advanced device in the line so far and has 7 'screen' in 300 ppi and waterproof design.
The product has the IPX8 certificate, ie it can be immersed in up to two meters of fresh water for 60 minutes. Despite the larger screen, the Kindle Oasis maintains a slim 3.4mm metal-body design. The display is also anti-glare and features automatic illumination that adapts to ambient light, thanks to the screen brightness sensor.
The device has 8GB of internal storage, twice the previous version of the device. Amazon also sell a 32GB variant is a generous amount of memory for an ebook device. The battery also promises not to disappoint and will deliver "weeks" of autonomy with only two hours of charge.
