Amazon launches music streaming service on Android

In addition to bringing alternative app store for the Android platform, Amazon also now announces a music streaming tool that allows you to upload mp3 files and share them between your computer and your smartphone.

Baptized Amazon Cloud Player, the new service offers a free space of 5GB. If the user is interested in purchasing digital music, Amazon promises to add another 15GB to the storage plan. Each additional gigabyte can also be purchased for a dollar.

“With Cloud Player, our customers can store music in the cloud and play it using any Mac, PC or Android device wherever they are,” explains the company.

For now, the service is only available in the United States.
