I don’t know about you but I bought almost everything I had to buy in the week of Google Play for 25 billion downloads (didn’t you know? information was available here). Among several apps, I bought the Amazing Alex, object of today’s review.
Every time I buy an app, I look for a video, a review, I ask the great oracle Google what he has to say to me. Yes, I know that in the very Google Play there are several comments, but the taste is the same as… Anyway, I’ve seen comments like “great app, I just don’t know what it’s for” there.
Therefore, I always go after other sources of information about applications and games (tip!). By chance, during the days of the promotion, I was there at that point of buying (everything so cheap, just and only just, 50 cents!) and hurried shopping. Among them, the new game from Rovio (creator of Angry Birds), Amazing Alex.
This is a very colorful and apparently creative thinking game. However, I expected more. I already imagined feeling that emotion of a child that puts the dominoes, one after the other, sees everyone falling and is all happy and … And it wasn’t like that.
Each stage has an objective. In one, you have to drop the tennis ball, in another, allow the balloon to go up to where the scissors are, so that the balloon can be punctured by the scissors. Ufa. I only described two phases but then you can already imagine. In order to achieve the objectives, the game makes available in each stage some objects such as tables, balloons and scissors. You must place these objects in strategic places.
In the early stages, the game itself shows what needs to be done. The shadow of the object appears in place, and then just pull the object and adjust it until it fits in the shadow. I think that, because of the primary start, you end up being a little disappointed in the game (I was).
I put here the image of the second phase, to facilitate. At the bottom right, there is a small table. Above, a little finger. Yes, a little finger! At the beginning of the game, a little hand appears with a little finger showing what you have to do. In this case, click on the table, pull it to the dashed space and then click on the “play”On the right side of the screen.
Too easy, right? But then it gets difficult. I stopped at phase 15 (image from the beginning of this post). If you click on the image you will see that, for this stage, I have two tables and a balloon to put on the image and make the balls fall into the basket. Sincerely? It didn’t cheer me up …
If I had the commitment “if you don’t like the product, we will refund your money”, I would get the money back and have an ice cream. But, as I said, taste is taste, everyone has their own and certainly there are people with a different view on the game.
