Aluminum iMac survives house fire in Sweden

Almost a week ago, Swede Anders Norman suffered a tragedy: his house was completely destroyed by fire and he lost almost everything he owns. The curious thing is that one of the things Anders still managed to save from the incident was his 20-inch iMac, which continued to function after the incident even though it was completely burned and melted in parts.

The aluminum machine not only turns on and loads Mac OS X normally, but practically everything works as if nothing had happened. The biggest surprise of the Swede when turning on the machine was seeing that the traditional tnn was still reproduced by the speakers. But things still go beyond that: the iMac was able to connect to the local Wi-Fi network and recognized the same mouse that was almost destroyed inside the burning house.

Obviously, the machine had no chance of being used again as before, since Anders provided a new one to replace it. Anyway, are there any doubts about the reliability of Apple's current machines?
