Alleged new Apple app will make things easier for those who need to repair their devices

The more successful Apple is (read: the more products it sells), the more it needs to worry about support, which, by the way, is one of its great differentiators. Of course, in the ideal world, iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macs, Apple TVs and accessories would not be a problem and would never break, but we know that, despite being quality products, we are definitely not 100% free of headaches.

Currently, the only option we have for mobile support at Apple is to schedule a time at the Genius Bar through the Apple Store app. Obviously, we can browse the support page of the Apple website, but it is not so simple and quick to do when you are on the street with the iPhone in hand. For it seems that Apple wants to improve this experience.

The images above, provided by Sonny Dickson and shared on the website uSwitch, show screens of a supposed new app or a new section within the Apple Store app just improving this support experience when we are only with the iPhone around. When logging in (Apple ID), the user quickly has access to all their registered devices.

In addition, the app provides basic questions about the device that needs repair in order to try to detect what is happening quickly (more or less what happens today on the Apple website). If it is a simple thing, the user can quickly correct the problem; if not, you can book a repair service at a store, send the device for maintenance, call / start a chat with company support, among other options.

Makes sense. We will see if / when the company actually implements this
