Alleged MasterCard internal document cites Apple Pay arrival in Brazil this year

An alleged internal document of the MasterCard obtained by both MacRumors and 9to5Mac mentions, among other things, the possibility of the network bringing Apple Pay to Brazil still this year. A few months ago we reported that both MasterCard and Nubank had already started preparing for this, so it is not a big news.

If that's true, Apple Pay will land here (in addition to Japan) just like Ma did in Canada and Australia. Only in these, the partnership was exclusive with American Express, while according to the rumor now MasterCard would also operate in Canada as well as in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The last country to receive Apple Pay was China. Even before that, we reported that Ma's mobile payment system is now accepted in more than 2 million locations.
